Winter Night Routine

Hi guys! So I'm back with my winter night routine and this is just going to be a quick run through of my typical winter night routine (whilst i'm living away from home at uni...) So yeah, lets get started!

So after my lectures I would normally walk back to my flat and make some dinner! I love cooking so much and I am literally the flat chef! My favorite winter food is a Chili Con Carne or something like a Curry just to warm me up and fill my stomach.

After eating dinner, I tend to get on with some of my uni work and sit and chill in my room, light a candle, put the fairy lights on and just get in that chilled mood. I always listen to music or watch YouTube videos whilst I do my work. At the moment I am loving Lily Pebbles YouTube channel and also The Michalaks channel, you should check them out.

I would then get ready for the gym and do an hour to two hour workout! This is due to me wanting to tone my body as freshers has literally made my body horrendous! All that alcohol! I normally do cardio, free weights and then some leg exercises on the machines. I love the feeling after a great workout, I walk home feeling enlightened.

I'd then get a shower or a bath with my lovely Lush products and just give myself a scrub, this is so relaxing and I find getting into a fresh bed after a nice shower is so relaxing. I'd also normally watch a series or YouTube again just to chill for a bit, I love to have a cup of tea in bed, there's something so special about sitting in bed with pyjamas on and a cup of tea in the winter. It's crucial.  Having a candle burning too is also so festive and warming and it really sets a lovely vibe.

That's all I tend to do on cold winter nights- I barely face the cold in the winter despite being an outdoorsy person but I just love to chill and have some 'me' time when its cold outside. Another thing I love to do is have a pamper, this is not routine however, I just do it when I want, the pampering session for me normally includes having a face mask on, whitening my teeth and shaving my legs, moisturising etc. It just makes you feel extra lovely.

Thank you for reading and comment telling me what your favorite thing about winter is! I'd love to know and I'd also love to hear about your winter nights routine. Bye!

November Beauty Favorites (high-end and drugstore)

Hi guys! So I'm here with my November beauty favorites, I have included some high end products and also some drugstore, these are the products I use daily and I have been really loving them!

Benefit Hoola bronzer-

This is my all time favorite bronzer. I never used to like the brush it came with but now I absolutely love it, it defines the cheekbones and makes your face look so sculptured. The finish of this bronzer is almost matte and the colour is great for most skin tones, I really think this compliments my skin very well.

Mac prep + prime transparent setting powder-

This has been my favorite powder to use to set my makeup with this month. This is such a great product and makes my skin look flawless after my base- (foundation.) It keeps my skin fresh and I have such oily skin so a powder is crucial to me, Mac translucent powder does the trick and it does it well!

Maybelline lash sensational mascara-

I have been using the Benefit 'roller lash' for a few months and after around 3 months it dried up! I decided to buy this because of the hype and I love it so much, The wand is great at covering every single lash and I feel like my eyes look so much better with this mascara. The only problem I do have is the removal of the product, I use my Liz Earle cleanse and polish over my eye makeup to gently remove the mascara.

Mac half n' half amplified lipstick-

I bought this around Easter time and I didn't really love it that much because I thought it looked too much like Velvet Teddy (which I also own) but recently in this month, I have been loving it, the finish is lovely and I just love the smell and formula of Mac lipsticks. The colour lasts all day and looks great for this time of year.

Rimmel wake me up concealer-

I have been in need of a great concealer for a while, I bought this at the start of the month and I love it. I use it under my eyes as it brightens them and gets rid of my dark under eye circles (oh Uni, you have ruined my skin and eyes!) The coverage is great, I wouldn't use this for spots as it has a slight shimmer to it, but I'd use it for brightening areas on the skin!

Maybelline master ink eyeliner-

Ok so I bought this in October and have been using it since! It is a matte one and I believe they do have a non-matte liner in this line. At first I was skeptical on buying this because I hate doing winged liner and it isn't a pen/felt tip so its harder to apply but I love how easy this actually is to apply, it glides over the eyes and comes off super easy! Eye liner is such a chore and most days I don't wear it because of the effort you have to make to put it on but with this it is completely effortless and  you get your desired look!

November Lush Haul- Bath Products

Oops. I took another trip to Lush. I didn't buy all of these products in one day by the way... I'm not that crazy! But I wanted to stock up on some bath products because I feel like November and December are the two months where you want to chill out and indulge.

So, without further a due, here's what I bought:

Twilight Bath Ballistic- £3.50

I have never tried this but I have heard amazing things about it. It smells very fresh yet lavandery. I can imagine this one being a night time Bath Ballistic, where you dip in the bath before bed time!

Cinders Bath Ballistic- £2.95

This one is a Christmas exclusive and I have tried this one before, It has a very seasonal smell and basically screams 'Christmas' in your bath tub. It has popping candy in it too!

Butterbear- £1.95

This is another Christmas exclusive and smells so lovely, it smells like vanilla. When it fizzes away in your bath, small bits of 'butter' float on top of the water, it is such a softening product on the skin and is very moisturising!

Dragon's Egg- £3.50

This one is probably my most favorite, it has a lemon scent and has rice paper in it which floats on top of the water! It is a refreshing Bath Ballistic and I just love how it makes my bath look.

You've Been Mangoed- £2

This is a Bath Oil and has been re-formulated and has changed! It used to be orange and now it is green with an orange middle. It smells divine and is also very moisturising and refreshing on the skin. I bought two of these as I can't get enough of them!

Razzle Dazzle- £2

Another Bath Oil, I didn't like the smell in store and when I took it home I didn't either but I loved the look of this product. I am excited to try it! It is supposed to be skin softening.

Candy Mountain- £2.95

This is a Bubble Bar and you crumble it under the tap to create bubbles! I rip a piece off each time I have a bath. It smells so sweet and I love it. This can be used around 4/5 times.

Golden Wonder- £4.95

This is another favorite of mine, it is a Christmas exclusive. It truly is a big surprise when you put it in the bath water. It is golden on the outside and turns the bath water turquoise! Stars come out of the Bath Ballistic making it look very magical! Oh and the smell is also lovelly.

Luxury Lush Pud- £3.95

This is also a favorite from the Christmas exclusives! It smells amazing and zesty, it is refreshin and multicoloured. I will insert a picture of my bath water when I use this! It makes your bath look so good!

Avobath- £3.50

This is one I have only just recently tried and I absolutely love it! It turns the water bright green and the smell is so refreshing and makes your skin feel so smooth! I couldn't resist so I bought another one!

Thank you for reading! I had fun with this post! :)

My Lush Collection

Hi guys! So I haven't been posting in a while due to my exams and sorting stuff out for uni, but I have finished them all now (thank goodness!) so I decided to create this little blog post about my current addiction of Lush... Now as you all know there has been a new store opened on Oxford Street in London, and this is so exciting as it is home to, I think 220 new products and is also such a huge store. I have not been in the store however, which kills me a little as I live a long way from London, I'm from Manchester and I go to uni in Preston! But I thought I'd share some products I generally really love which are available to buy from any store, and are not limited edition products!

Hair care:

So Lush released their new 'shampoo bars' earlier this year and I am loving them! They are such a good alternative to liquid shampoos as they have no packaging and are the equivalent to a 600ml bottle of shampoo... yep they last forever!

The 'Honey I Washed my Hair' shampoo bar has to be my favorite, it smells so delicious and the smell stays in your hair literally all day, and not to mention how it makes your hair feel, my hair has been feeling and smelling fine! The other lush shampoo bar 'Jumping Juniper' is a toned down smell, it hasn't really got a dominant smell but still keeps your hair feeling fresh and, you know, clean!

Lush also do Solid Shampoo, 'Trichomania' is the one I own and this is because I picked it up in store and could not resist! With the coconut extracts, this beauty keeps your hair nourished and feeling amazing! It may not be the most glorious looking but it certainly does the trick of maintaining clean and healthy hair, and I have honestly seen improvements with this Shampoo bar. My hair tends to get greasy after two days, meaning on the third day I wash it. I used to wash my hair every single day (I know, bad for the hair... and I am a hairdressers daughter!) but with this Lush shampoo, I tend not to wash it too often.

A Lush Conditioner, which is my all time fav, 'American Cream' came to me through an online Lush order.. the lovely people sent me some samples, and I immediately fell for this product! The smell is soooo nice that I could literally eat it- of course I wont, but honestly guys, this smell is delicious, you MUST smell! And I know every scent in Lush is divine but guys, trust me on this one, it is next level. This makes my hair so soft after Shampooing and the smell stays in my hair for so long, I love getting a whiff of it all the time!

Shaving:

I have only tried two shaving products, I am only aware of the two, which are 'Ambrosia' and 'D'fluff', let me tell you, they both aren't that great, I didn't know what to expect when I first bought them as they obviously do not foam or anything, but hey, I wanted to try something new, and i'm all for fighting animal testing, so I am going to be honest I don't quite like these products. The 'D'fluff' shaving soap was so hard to get along with, it just wouldn't lather on my skin making shaving uncomfortable, so this is an overall no for me, I gave the product to my friend however who absolutely loves it! And 'Ambrosia' is somewhat better than 'D'fluff', it is more suitable for my skin, it is a creamy substance and just makes my skin feel so much more smoother after shaving.

Face Products:

Fresh Farmacy, now this is a facial soap and it is so soothing on the skin. It is pink and keep my face as fresh as a daisy! I love this product as it has never broke me out.

Another facial soap I love is called Coalface, it is black and has some charcoal in it! It is great to cleanse oily skin with and it has kept my oiliness at bay! This product is always going to be in my Lush collection as it deserves to stay!

Facial Cleanser- Herbalism, this is the only facial cleanser I own and you mix it with water. It has a strange smell but I get along with it very well. My skin loves this stuff. Green is good remember!

Facial Scrub- Ocean Salt, this is my all time favorite. I love using this facial scrub because it truly unclogs my pores and keeps blackheads away! The smell is like a cocktail and is very refreshing!

Face Masks- Mask of Magnaminty, this is always my favorite mask and keeps my skin spot free, you can also use it on your body- which I have before when I had small spots on my back, it cleared them away in no time.

Brazened Honey, my second favorite mask! It brightens the skin and keeps the face fresh! My skin is so oily and because of this I do break out more than I should but Lush face masks prevent this.

Catastrophe cosmetic, this is designed especially for oily skin, with fresh garlic, it does stink- a lot! But keeps oil at bay and spots away!

Face Moisturizer- Enzymion, this is my favorite facial moisturiser and keeps my skin so soft and the smell of this is so good. It has enzymic fruits in it which helps tame the skin and keep it looking supple.

Shower Products:

Shower Jelly- Whoosh, now this is a strong smell and at first I didn't like it as much as Sweetie Pie, which is lovely and unfortunately has been discontinued! Whoosh's smell stays on you all day and keeps you fresh. This product has been in my collection for a very long time and will not be leaving any time soon!

Shower gel- Snow Fairy, this is a Christmas exclusive and it smells divine! I have the smallest bottle which was gifted to me last year and I have been using it sparingly. There's over half left as a little goes a long way!

And that is all for this post, thank you very much for giving it a read! Lush is a brand I am passionate about and truly love.

University Tips! Coming From A Student Living In Halls!

Hello, so I'm a student at UCLan (The University of Central Lancashire) and I'm currently living in student halls! So I'm going to be giving some hacks and tips for those of you wanting to go to uni and if you're already studying at uni!

Join a society!

Now joining a society may be the last of your worries but believe me, at night time student accommodation is so boring. Sitting in your room and looking at the dust settle is something I am so bored of so I have joined a society to keep me busy, now this isn't a time consuming thing for me as I still get important work done, plus it helps you make more friends!

Keep your communal areas tidy

We all know that cleaning is such a chore but your flat mates are going to hate you if you are a untidy person. So clean up after yourself and you can even make a router for who takes the bins out, who hoovers etc. Make sure you even clean the bathroom because you don't wanna be showering in some nasty bathroom! And if you have an en-suite, well you're fine!

And as for your personal room, well, it can be as messy as you like!

Hand wash small items

Ok, believe me, when it comes to washing your own clothes its time consuming and extremely annoying! I have to walk to the launderette every 1-2 weeks. But then I realised, you can hand wash some of your clothes, and that's what I do. I have my own sink in my room so I rend to put a wash tab in the basin, wash my clothes, then rinse them, then fill the water basin up again with clean water and some fabric softener, and then put your clothes into the softener and then repeat the rinsing step! It's easy and I hang my clothes on the radiator or the maiden we have!

Here are some other small bullet points:

- Get lots of sleep, trust me, them bags under your eyes are gonna come if your a uni student, especially when there's noise all of the time and partying!
- Create a budget list. You do need to budget as money comes tight.
- Always shop after you've eaten, don't go food shopping if you are hungry, you will buy lots of unnecessary things!
- Keep your flat door open on the first few days to socialise with flat mates
- Don't procrastinate, it's bad- even I do it but I try so hard not to, Try not to have any distractions and do that assignment!
- Enjoy yourself!

A Small Visit To Greece

Hello again! So I'm back with this post (after a long-ish time) to talk about my trip to Thassos, a small island in Greece! Now this is hands-down my all time favorite place to go, I know it isn't tropical or anything but it is the most beautiful island with the most lovely people. Me and my family have been going for almost 18 years, and yes, I am 18 but I have been going to Thassos from a very young age. The place still looks the same as it did as I remember from growing up.

On this trip away, like always we just treated it as a break from every day usual life back in rainy old England! So this entailed going to the beach and soaking up the rays then in the evening going out for a lovely meal (The Pigi is our all time favorite, the people are lovely and still remember our faces and have seen me and my sibling grow up each year we return!) and then after the meal we would always take a stroll around Thassos town, where there are some lovely little shops. Oh and the inner child in me always loves to go on the bumper cars! So of course, that was in our routine.

The most enjoyable day was when we went the the Ancient Theater, which is extremely old. They are currently re-building it so it will look ho it looked many years ago. However, it is a very long walk up into the woodlandsy bits, which looks over the sea- it is a marvelous view!

Here are some pictures, the place is so lovely.

It is a beautiful picturesque place!

A family picture from my first trip to the island!

Greek food- my favorite, Ttzatziki and Giant Beans!

Skincare Routine

Hey guys! So I am going to be talking you through my skin care routine excluding moisturizer, so this is basically what I use to clean my face, and this is like a picture guide! This post has taken me a lot of confidence as this is my first post with my face without makeup! Here are the products I tend to reach for when cleaning my face!

1st step: Using the Liz Earle cleanse and polish, I'm gonna take one pump and start rubbing it into my face in circular motions to lift any makeup from my skin.

Once any makeup has been lifted just rinse off with water!

All pics taken by me! Haha, using my camera timer!
2nd Step- I then go on to exfoliate my face using the Lush ocean salt scrub! This helps unclog any pores and removes makeup further!

Then wash off with water again!

3rd Step- I then go in with the Lush herbalism cleanser just because I love this product so much, my face feels like a baby's bum after using it, this is quite a weird product and you have to make it into a paste with water!

Then wash off with water (you know the drill!) Then I am going to dab my face dry with a towel, and dabbing rather than rubbing prevents premature aging.

And then sometimes I use the Liz Earle eyebright tonic just on cotton pads and place them over my eyes for a few minutes just to soothe my eyes!

And that is all guys! I enjoyed creating this post and inserting images because this is something different for me and I really recommend these products simply because they do clean your makeup off extremely well and keep skin clear! (I do have a few breakouts on my forehead, but other than that my skin is pretty clear!) I do hope you liked this sort of blog post as this is something I thought you would be interested in!

This is my face after being thoroughly cleansed! Thank you!

June Favorites

Hey guys! So I'm back with a heck of a long June favorites for you! This is going to be everything I have loved this June from beauty & skincare to random stuff! So lets get started!

Firstly, this has always been my favorite but it's the Lush 'Mask of Magnaminty' and oh my goodness, this is so good. I have had to restock this and I have gone through so many full sized tubs of this, it is a great treat for your skin, the mask makes your skin feel so good and even though it has a weird sticky texture on your face, this is because I buy the self-preserving, which lasts longer than the original mask, you can feel it working on your skin, the peppermint tingles on your skin and you know this is a good thing- as well as a good feeling because you can tell its working!

Next is my Benefit Cabana Glama kit. I love this so so so much. I bought it because I wanted the Hoola bronzer- I use it to contour my cheekbones and my forehead but I also wanted to try out other products from Benefit like the 'posie tint' which I tried and didn't like as much as the 3 tone- eye shadow palette which in in the Cabana Glama kit. I use the eye shadow everyday and it is so versatile, you can use it in the day because of the peachy pink colour and the nude-beige, and then you can even apply the darker brown for a more night time look.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, oh wow this is amazing! I apply one pump to my face and instantly my makeup lifts off my skin and I wipe it off with the exfoliating muslin cloth which the cleanse and polish comes with! This has natural ingredients which are kind to skin, and my skin loves this stuff, I can't imagine what I'd use if I didn't have this product as it is so gentle yet has the power to lift away makeup fast!

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Foundation. I was hesitant to buy this foundation whilst in Selfridges, because of the price tag. £33, and now I will never go back to any other foundation (accept Nars sheer glow!) But this Chanel foundation is just brilliant! It stays on my oily and sometimes unmanageable skin, all day. As soon as you put this foundation on and buff it into the skin, it gives a light to medium coverage, but it feels so soft and silky. It prevents my oily skin and just doesn't slip and vanish through the day, and for this I truly love it! Thank you Coco!

Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray. I bought the mini travel version to try it out and the price for it is £9- not too bad, and then immediately fell in love after using it on a 'night out' makeup look. The makeup was quite heavy as I wanted to look my best when I as going out with friends hitting the town... So obviously I wanted my makeup to stay all night. And this setting spray does just the trick! I spray around 3/4 times and this will be enough to keep my makeup lo maintenance for the night! You can also spray some on a beauty blender to dampen it before applying makeup like foundation, and I much prefer this to wetting my beauty blender with just water!

Thank you ever so much for reading & I hope you enjoyed. I also hope I've inspired some of you, and all of these products I 100% recommend to you otherwise I would not be doing a blog post featuring them! X
